The approach of the new millennium has spawned predictions that range from a global apocalypse to the arrival of the mother ship. However, based on the number of letters, faxes, e-mails and phone calls we get regarding Year 2000 compliance, it is clear some of you have more practical concerns. Our users can rest easy. ?
LINDO Systems products, LINDO, LINGO, What'sBest!, and Solver Suite, do not have any functions that store date information. As a result, the software will operate in the same manner before, during and after January 1, 2000. When used as stand alone applications, all current and past versions of LINDO, LINGO and What'sBest! are "Year 2000 Compliant."
Rest assured when the next date crisis arrives (e.g., in the year 10000 when we have to move to a 5 digit year) LINDO will be there with software that is compliant.
Keep in mind that data used by LINDO products may come from other sources. You should make certain any application that supplies date dependent data to a LINDO Systems product is fully Year 2000 Compliant.
