LINDO software has a long history of winning international awards. For example,
The What'sBest! spreadsheet optimizer from LINDO Systems received the PC Magazine Award for Technical Excellence in 1986. PC Magazine has historically been the premier magazine for people interested in personal computers.
A paper: “A Tire Production Scheduling System for Bridgestone-Firestone Off-the-Road” that used the LINDO optimizer, was the winner of Association of the European Operational Research Societies(EURO) Prize for Best Applied Paper of the Year for 1997, Presented at Joint International EURO XV/INFORMS XXXIV Meeting in Barcelona, Spain.
The Chairman’s Award for the Best Contributed Paper in Application at the INFORMS Dallas Meeting, for the paper: “A Tire Production Scheduling System for Bridgestone-Firestone Off-the-Road”, November, 1997. INFORMS (INstitute FOR Operations Research and Management Science) is the largest OR/Analytics society in the USA.
The INFORMS Impact Prize, for work on Algebraic Modeling Languages was awarded for LINGO in 2012. This prize is awarded biannually to an individual or team for contributions which have had widespread impact in the practice of operations research.
